"Mercy" is a 15-year-old mare that came to us near death from the Harney county/Burns seizure.  This special mare has a heart of gold and a will to live.  In just over 3 months, she has gone from being so weak she could barely stand from starvation and neglect to carrying a rider! According to Mercy's foster mom, she has the kindest, gentlest soul and loves to be loved.  Mercy is broke to ride but has never had any extensive training.  She does not buck, rear or have any bad habits.  Mercy will ONLY go to the very best of homes where she will be pampered like the Queen she is in our hearts.  If you think you can give Mercy the future she deserves, please contact us.  To read the blog written by Mercy's foster mom and follow her recovery, click here.

This is April, a 27-year-old Welsh Pony mare.  April came to us the beginning of August after we were alerted by animal control of her condition.  April has no bottom teeth and is not able to eat forage.  This poor girl was not offered any special feed by her previous owner and this is the result.  April is in a great foster home that is giving her everything she needs.  April was starved for so long, she must be fed several small meals throughout the day as her stomach has shrunk and cannot take in the amount of food a healthy pony would take in per feeding.  This is far too common of a situation.  Once this pony needed special care, it was denied.  We are still amazed as to how any human being can see a starving animal and ignore it.  April is spunky and full of life in spite of her condition.  Here is April after two months amazing what food can do even if they are missing most of there teeth and are now 28 yrs old.

“Trinity” is a very pretty, nicely built 3 1/2-year-old Snowflake Appaloosa filly. She stands approximately 14.1 hands, has correct conformation, nice bone with straight legs and good feet.
She has been saddled but not yet ridden. She loads in the trailer like a dream and although a bit shy, behaves like a little lady. She has a willing mind and is quiet and curious. Trinity is ready to go any direction and could be successful in many disciplines. Trinity is healthy, sound and ready to move on to more serious training. Trinity is currently in foster care in the Salem area.
Delivery may be arranged to approved home.

Video of this lovely filly can be seen at: Click Here

"Shelby" is a 4-year-old Sheldon mustang mare. She is halter broke and learning to trust. This is a beautiful, solid girl who would do best with a person that has experience with mustangs.  Shelby came from a large rescue/seizure in Nebraska and is assumed to be in foal.  There were over 30 stallions with the mares and most of the mares are in foal.  If you are interested in providing training, fostering or adopting Shelby, please contact us.

"Connie" has been physically recovered in rescue from starvation and neglect.  She is a 4-yr-old, 1/2 TB, 1/2 appaloosa mare standing at approximately 15 hands. Connie has been haltered in the past but needs an experienced, loving, patient, experienced, training home. Connie is becoming increasingly more curious of people but needs to learn to trust and receive consistent handling.  If you are interested in providing training, foster care or adopting, please contact us.

Izzy is a Sheldon mustang (Nevada Fish and Wildlife) mare. She is 4-years-old and came from a large seizure in Nebraska where 200 horses survived and many more perished from starvation. There were over 30 stallions running with the mares. Izzy had her baby foal Rugar. Izzy

Lyric" is a black and white paint mare that came to us from the Harney county/Burns seizure.  Imagine our surprise when this paint mare had an appaloosa colt!  Lyric is currently being worked with to gain her trust and be gentled.  Lyric will need a kind, experienced horseperson to continue her training.  She will be a challenge and will only go to a home  that has experience with trust issues in adult horses.  "Dustin", her beautiful baby boy has been adopted  If you are interested in adopting, fostering or providing training for Lyric, please contact us.

Adoption Fees:
Our adoption fees vary depending on the horse. Many of our horses have and will be placed at no charge to approved homes, others that have incurred veterinary or training fees may have an adoption fee to assist in the reimbursement of these costs. Sound, trained and young horses will also have a reasonable adoption fee.  Adoption fees can range from $100.00 to $500.00  for these horses. Our priority is finding good homes that have the financial ability to provide lifetime care for our horses. Donations are gladly accepted and always appreciated as are fuel cost donations if your horse is being delivered.  If you are interested in adopting, please contact us and we can discuss this personally with you.
